Great app

Great app. I can sync with my better half and nothing is forgotten at the store.

This app will be a hit. So useful!

After sharing my households list with my partner, we have been able to manage our groceries perfectly. Great concept. It would be great to link this to David Allens GTD concept. Once a few very small bugs are fixed I will be giving this app five stars.

Buggy

Every time I log in, the apps response is to crash. It sets my 6s+ screen resolution to "sight-impaired" iPhone 5 mode. Quantity fields must be unit integer, cannot easily import recipes with out a lot of massaging. Lists created on the website do not sync to phone - instead, the app hangs in network access or reports no lists. Why?? The promise is there, but they do NOT deliver.

Wonderful shopping and pantry app

After a recent list switch bug fix this is my go to app for shopping list and to do list functionality for errands. This app allows you to keep and inventory of your fridge, freezer, and cupboards. Seamless ability to change any item from the pantry or fridge/freezer list to the appropriate shopping list out vis-versa. Great app everyone should use. I mean how much money will it save you on groceries to know that you have a box of pays ib the pantry and a 1/2 full jar of pasta sauce in the fridge instead of buying pizza. Great way to keep track of leftovers to save money and avoid wasting hard earned grocery money. The notes feature for each item is great because you can use that in the pantry, cupboard, fridge/freezer lists to keep track of amounts and expiration dates of your food.

Scan function quit working

I like the app but more recently the scan function has quit working and I keep receiving an error code

Great app.

This is the best list I have found. Simple and easy to use. Needs to add a few more item types or option to edit that field.

Disappointed

Just downloaded the app on a coworkers recommendation, but so far it keeps crashing every few seconds.

Wowzers! Great shopping app!

I LOVE this app! The look: The notebook with check mark design is very attractive to this fan of the old-fashioned ruled paper. Also, this is the only grocery app that figures in sales tax on separate items. This way, you can have a clear, concise idea of what youre spending (to the penny). A big plus when youre on a tight budget! I was late (better late than never) in finding out how to input taxes on individual items. On home page, go to settings>scroll down and enter tax rate of your area. Where I live, theres no tax on food items but there is a tax on Windex, soap, etc. So for instance, when inputting "Apple", Id tap: "details" > Id check where it says "Item is Tax Free". Contrarily, for soap, Id UNCHECK (becomes gray) same. As you input, remember to add bottle/can deposits according to your area. Skim for any errors. Now youre equipped to pay the cashier with the exact change (unloading your wallet of those pesky coins!) I love being able to do that! :-)

Frustrated since the change

This app used to be my go to for EVERYTHING I needed from shopping lists, packing lists to recipe ingredients... That is until the update... I dont mind the categories but I HATE that my "need to buy" items are no longer at the top... I now have to scroll through each category to see what I need... Very frustrating and I honestly no longer use it... I emailed the devs who said they would look into it but I havent noticed a change or optional setting added...

I used to love this app ...

But then the developers decided to put in the categories. Ive finally figured out how to have an item fall under a certain category, but when I go to sort my items based on my store set up, the categories dont follow along. Ive tried just keeping everything uncategorized but there is always an item or two that will categorize on its own. The categories are really helpful when shopping IF you can get them to work! I even went pro to help these guys out, because I felt they had created such a unique app. Anyone know of some new & useful shopping app out there?

Love it but suggestion

I love this help and I have my shopping lists as well as my todo lists on it which is awesome. There are a few suggestions though so I can make this my only app. It would be nice if the recipes would sync across devices. I would love if for the deals instead of me having through go through like 1000 something deals I could just get a png when something I have in my pantry or shopping list goes on sale. Also when I save deals to the shopping list I wish the store it was for would show up in the name so I dont have to use the edit screen everyone to know where Im supposed to be going. However despite the absence of all of those things I would still recommend this app to others. Keep up the good work!

All is well

Working fine on iOS now. Thumbs up. Still works and better than before.

Unstable & unreliable

I used to love this app, but sometime--I want to guess last summer--the search function stopped working. The developers STILL have not restored this vital functionality. Imagine you want to find all organic produce on sale in your area. Searching "organic" used to bring up a list of relevant items. Now it returns nothing, even though scrolling through deals will reveal dozens of organic produce items. I have uninstalled, reinstalled, and tried Out of Milk on multiple devices to no avail. Further, I am aghast that the app still requires two clicks to access a shopping list. There are better ways to fit buttons for all the functions related to lists; having to select "open" when that is what I want 99% of the time is aggravating. I gave up early on the list sharing function; it has never cooperated. Issues weve had with it are noted in other customers reviews. Out of Milk was extremely useful when the Deals section still worked, and I used it constantly for that purpose alone. Now that I have to scroll through every shop to find anything I need, I might as well read the ads I get in the mail. Out of Milk, with its crashing, poor design, and missing features, is actually slower and less pleasant than shuffling email and newspaper. I use ShoppingList much more effectively, even with its comparably few features. It performs as it should. For the curious: running these apps on an iPhone 6.
